Antigonus erosus
Photo take at my backyard small all dark gray color about 3 cm wingspan no common on this area.
Weedy areas in parks, small clearings and edges in tropical woodlands. Central Texas to south Mexico.
Congratulations for 2000 ID thanks for all the time you have spend to ID so many of our spotting' s is an honor indeed:):)
You have to look very carefully and compare the dark aeras at the margins and the tiny 3 spots with an adjacent very tiny, almost not visible spot towards the apex of the forewing.

The powdery surface make it tricky to see all the distinct markings!
OK, Gerardo, you have to honor to get my ID # 2000! Might not be fair, since I challenge your existing ID...
Sent you a suggestion, but it is not mapped in your range. It may help you narrow your search.
Look at spread winged skippers Pyrginae in your area. Look for one referred to as a scallop wing.
