Imported Willow Leaf Beetle

Plagiodera versicolora

Description:

Tiny black beetle with metallic bluish/green shine. Introduced species from Europe that is generally considered a pest. Last photo to show size (my thumb is next to the beetle). Larva look similar to Ladybird Beetle larva.

Habitat:

Suburban yard on an ornamental Willow Tree.

Notes:
