Project Noah Fact of the Day: Caecilians (order Gymnophiona) are one of the three main amphibian groups, frogs and salamanders are the other two. They can be terrestrial or aquatic like the species pictured. Most are nocturnal and fossorial. They feed upon worms and other small invertebrates.
