Fowler's Toads, juveniles

Bufo fowleri

Description:

Four tiny toadlets I raised from tadpoles. I enjoyed watching their metamorphosis. Here they are as newly-transformed toads, being released back into the wild.

Habitat:

Sandy Creek Park. Wooded gully near a lake, with a little creek running through it and low vegetation for cover. Sandy soil for the toads to burrow. TONS of mosquitos, so I hope these little critters have good appetites. I've found lots of Fowler's Toads here, so I figured it must be a good habitat for them.

Notes:

Bye, cute little toads!
