Hummingbird Moth

Description:

Green furry body with brown stripes and clear wings.

Habitat:

It lives in Alaska and the Northwest Territories south through British Columbia to Oregon; east through the Great Plains and the Great Lakes area to Maine and Newfoundland; south to Florida and Texas.

Notes:

I was confused when I first saw these moths, because they looked like hummingbirds and butterflies simultaneously. So it makes sense that they would be hummingbird moths.
