Grey Francolin

Ortygornis pondicerianus

Description:

The back and wings have a nice pattern...sort of barring or small squares in a darker colour. Basically other feathers are sort of sandy or dusty in colour which makes sense. These birds are found in drier areas so, the colouration helps them to blend in.

Habitat:

Near Jaipur. Forested area.
