5-1-5-1: 5 seconds for the family (I knew it was a White/Pieridae, although it was black), 1 minute for the genus and another 5 minutes for the species, after 1 one I give up. Looking for similar genus. Why not looking for Pieridae of Kenia, when you do not find any from Uganda? I call this intuitive phantasy ;-)...

Wow amazing, how do you start searching it ??? I have looked all pages of African butterfly's and I didn't find it ;-((( but yes, this is the one !!
now I remember also the yellow on the bottom.

My guess is this is in Pieridae family.

As I remember well, I think it was about 5 to 6 cm wide (open wings)

Look to be Lesser gull (Cepora nadina) Female butterfly. Need to check it is find in Africa. Is it small in size..alike Grass Yellows...?
