Great White Heron

Description:

Photo take in a mangrove area near the coast this beautiful white heron just rest under the shade of a white mangrove tree next to the water.The subspecies differ only slightly in size and plumage tone. It is the largest North American heron and among herons it is surpassed only by the Goliath Heron and the White-bellied Heron. It has head-to-tail length of 97–137 cm , a wingspan of 167-201 cm a height of 115–138 cm and a weight of 2.1–3.3 kg7.3. Notable features include slaty flight feathers

Notes:

This is the white subspecies of Great Blue Heron, nicknamed the "Great White Heron". They're distinguished from similar white egrets by their large clunky bills and blue lores. Liam.
