Beetle

Aporocera haematodes

Description:

Very dark/reddish brown , body exposed ander wings , dark markings can just be seen on the head.

Habitat:

Hanging out with other leaf beetle species , only one of its kind - really thick long grass , and new growth eucalypt.

Notes:

Cadmus fasciaticollis ??? i hope . went with your lead Cryptocephalinae.. case bearing beetle.. Mark :)

Sorry my mistake. I searched your name before and got a species only in the Americas. Not sure why... maybe google did that annoying thing about 'No you really meant this"

Just looks different to me , this was definitely glossy , crucicollis , looks more heavily grooved and powdered and the head more black ...this one was same colour , on the tip(head) ?
