Description:

This dark, large skipper has a wingspan of about 4.5 - 6.7 cm (1.75-- 2.6 in). This skipper is named for the bright white or silverish spot on the underside of the wing bordered by an orange patch that leads to the leading edge of the wing.

Habitat:

Grasslands with waterways and open forests.
