Description:

A large stocky waterbird. Swims low in the water, often with just head and neck visible. Dives for fish, amphibians and crustaceans.

Habitat:

Coastal.

Notes:

Actually saw three - two adults and what seemed to be a young juvenile - already big enough to dive for it's own food.
