Handmaiden Moth

Amata sp.

Description:

Black moth with two orange bands on body. Wings have windows.

Habitat:

It went quite mad over the potted plants in my office garden...climbed all over the first flower, flew to the second pot and then deliriously flew in circles almost settling on me...then it flew away.

Notes:

Quite different from another spotting of mine: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/535...
