Description:

Small callitrichids that weigh less than two pounds and are known for their golden-colored hands and feet. They usually travel in groups of 5-10. Males carry offspring, and females usually give birth to twins. This picture is of a female.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Guiana Shield. This individual was found in Suriname.
