B. maxima is an erect annual grass to 60cm, forming a tuft of flat, linear leaves, with panicles of large, flat, ovate, pale yellow spikelets which dangle from slender branches.

Habitat:

Mediterranean range. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama
