Winter Wren

Troglodytes hiemalis

Description:

Tiny bird that is all brown with a pretty pathetic looking tail. Lifer!

Habitat:

Lives in a brush pile, the people who work at this nature center took me out to specifically find a Winter Wren since I had never seen one before and they know where a few live in the winter. This brush pile is in an open area in an oak forest, and we pssh'd and he popped right up.
