Lampornis calolaemus
At home in the highlands of Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and western Panama, the male Purple-Throated Mountain-Gem is quite a stunning bird, bronze-green except for a blue-green crown and a brilliant purple throat. The female lacks the brilliant crown and gorget, replacing these with cinnamon underparts. Like most hummingbirds, it feeds on nectar. It supplements this with small insects, providing essential protein.

The first two photos are the male, the second two are the female.

Yeah it was an awesome bird! Thanks!
Oh my gosh what beautiful colors no wonder it has the words purple and gem in its name! Good work
