Glaucidium cuculoides
Brown owl with white streaked feathers, small white spots or specks on its head, looks small - about 25 to 28 cm, yellow eyes and beak.
Temperate forest. Found mostly in the northern parts of the India.
Found them calling during daytime as well and perched on the higher branches. These photos clicked in the morning, notice it sitting in bright sunlight :)
