Well I have searched fervently to identify this mushroom to species, will have to make mental note to smell and taste the Russula I come across in the future.
I added a picture of the underside lwp, I think you are correct in thinking Russula, hopefully we can nail down a species. thank you for your help.
Need to see more details, but possibly Russula!
