Mantisalca salmantica

Description:

Plant glabrous above and pubescent below. All florets of the flower head are pink and are divided into irregular, very thin strips.

Habitat:

The entire Mediterranean, including Israel, Morocco and Majorca (Balearic Islands), except Corsica and Creta. Introduced or sub-spontaneous in Suiza, and very locally in the Southwestern United States (California and Arizona). It grows in dry places, vacant lots, ditches, and in dry rocky habitats.
