House Finch

Description:

This is a medium sized finch. While individuals vary in coloration, they generally have streaked backs, wings, and breasts. Most adults have light to dark coloration on the heads that sometimes extends to the back and chest. Few individuals present red in the same areas.

Habitat:

This individual was 100 meters from the ocean next to a closed estuary lake.
