Thanks ArgyBee and Shekainah. The distinction seems to be that Trametes is a polypore and has a white pore lower surface. The Stereum is a crust fungus with no pores. This would appear to be the false turkey tail shown clearly in pic #4 (False polypore) as you suggest. Thanks.

Doesn't seem to have the thickness of Trametes versicolor... this might be false turkey tails... Stereum ostrea.
