I've seen plenty of real ones, none that have the same facial pattern as this individual.

Go out and look at some real ones

I can see a faint cheek patch on this bird, so it could possibly be a juvenile.

I can't fond any photos of a House Sparrow that match the facial pattern of this bird. the closest I get is this: http://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File...
