Hard to say from that photo. To aid in ID, you should dig up the mushroom and photo the whole thing as well as under the cap.

I will agree with ShannoninCt on that. I get the giant puffballs in my yard in the fall. This is not, a giant puffball. I wish I could help with an id. The giant puffball I know, and will even eat. This one, I would not eat unless someone else could id it for me, and prove to me it is an edible mushroom.

Giant puffballs don't have stems like the mushroom in your photo has.
