Description:

Risiocnemis cf. haematopus Selys 1882, female. This species is distributed across Southern Luzon from Quezon to Sorsogon; dwindling in population in Mt. Banahaw and Mt. Makiling for the past 20 years. Occurring in forested streams. Risiocnemis is a damselfly in family Platycnemididae (sometimes known as Platycnemidae), called the White-legged Damselflies. This genus is endemic to the Philippines.

Habitat:

Along the Molawin Creek at the Makiling Botanic Gardens, a forest park of the Mt. Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (adjacent or within the UPLB-College of Forestry and Natural Resources), University of the Philippines at Los Baños, Laguna.
