Habitat:

Breeds in lakes and ponds of Northern Canada and Alaska. Winters in the Great Lakes and open salt water coasts of the US and Gulf Coast of Mexico.

Notes:

Group of females resting/sleeping in Florida Bay. Some out of town friends and I were driving to Key West when they decided to stop and take some pics of the beautiful scenery. Lucky for me I spotted these ladies in the water. Unfortunately last pic is blurry, but it was the only one showing the distinct bill shape.
