Parazumia symmorpha
Parazumia symmorpha is uncommon and very little information is known about this large potter wasp. It is presumed that females nest in pre-existing cavities in decaying wood or in other substrates. This female was particularly fond of Bee Balm and appeared to be robbing nectar by chewing into the base of the flower.
Northeastern North America. Adults nectar from flowers. (Monarda may be common for this species)
