Black Meadowhawk (Female)

Sympetrum danae

Description:

The female Black Meadowhawk is mostly yellow and balck. Legs are blacks, whereas abdomen is yellow with black stripes on the bottom and at each segment. Yellow is turning brown on some areas. The eyes are brown.

Habitat:

Suburban area.

Notes:

Also called Black Darter in UK.
