Love this Fly the design at the end of the wings look to me as a Scorpion (look alike) to scared predators?

Habitat:

Gallery Forest. 900 Meters-3000 feet above sea level, next to Tanaca National Park, a Pasture , and in a Garden with Endemic trees, plants and flowers of Costa Rica.

Sorry to disagree ladies but I think wing patterns look more like Hexachaeta genus. So so many others though and very little info.

Thank you so much SukanyaDatta...you directed me to the right Path...The fly that looks really close to mine is a Tephritid - Rhagoletis fausta...But could not find enough information. I will edit as you said...
