I think this is a small Hogna sp. Very small wolf spider with striped legs and large jaws.

Habitat:

Diverse Woods near a small lake.

Thanks kunzah -- the description on bugguide seems close except that this gal's leg span was about 12mm tops. Judging by her thick hairs, I'd have to guess she an adult. Could there be that much variation in size?
