Blackberry Looper

Chlorochlamys chloroleucaria

Description:

This Blackberry Looper, Chlorochlamys chloroleucaria, was found on the roof of a porch, but when disturbed, it promptly flew to the grass and started drinking water from the grass with its proboscis (just a fancy name for an insect's long tongue).

Habitat:

Larvae feed on Blackberry, and various related species.
