Lepas anatifera
Clumps of dark brown marine mollusks in generally white shells attached to a plastic float. Individuals were 7-8 cm long, shells 3-4 cm long and slightly narrower.
Insular tropical nearshore marine ecosystem.
Spotted on a float washed up on the beach at Kahana Bay. The float was moved away from the shore and the barnacles were imaged before being returned to the ocean.
