Protohermes grandis is a species from China, Japan and Taiwan and looks different.

For this one I would go with Chloronia sp..
There are about 16 known species, 3 were reported from CR: Absona, Gloriosoi and Mexicana, all also from the Alajuela area.

Does anybody knows the difference between...Chloronia, Corydalus, Protohermes?? I keep thinking this Dobsonfly is ID incorrectly?!

Thank you for the identification, Reza Hashemizadeh
