Great Blue Heron track

Description:

The tracks have four toes, 2-4 pointing forward. Footprint is asymmetrical, with toe 1 set to inside of foot axis. Walking stride is about 20 inches. Trail is fairly straight and feet point forward.

Habitat:

Shallow, sandy edge of Lewisville Lake.

Notes:

Tracks differ from other shore edge tracks by large size and asymmetrical placement of toes.
