The Barn Owl is a separate family from all other owls. Has an eerie shrieking call, the Western Barn Owl is primarily a nocturnal hunter, its ear flaps are one higher/one lower to triangulate sound for its prey and also is one of the best hearing animals in the world. average life span of 2-3 years. in that lifetime it can catch up to 3600 mice! about 14" tall and weighs one pound. Has a heart shaped face and a very defined facial disc. Also has light buoyant flight.
Farmlands, woodland and suburbs. Nests in cavities of barns, palm trees, and water towers.
i like it but i overexposed the pics because i didnt realize my i.s.o. was so high :p
