Description:

Cluster of polypore wings all around a central stem mass, growing seemingly out of a path of dirt in a lawn. Maybe 5lbs. Fairly mature. Brown and cream concentric striping, frilly edges.

Habitat:

Grassy area with exposed dirt, maybe near the roots of a deciduous tree.

Notes:

Apparently one was found nearby or in the same spot in September 2011.
