Description:

This amazing larva was searching for aphids on a sunflower blossom in my garden. This is the first larva of this species that I have seen. it was small about 3-4mm. This is a spotting of the adult: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/751...

Habitat:

Urban house flower garden.

Notes:

Larva is covered with waxy outgrowths, similar to Cryptolaemus. Adults can be difficult to identify to species without genitalia dissection and ventral imaging. bugguide.net
