Frilly Grass-tubeworm Moth

Acrolophus mycetophagus

Description:

At 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, I opened the front door for thirty minutes, to air out my house. After a couple of minutes of having the front door opened, an insect flew through the front door, and landed on a wall, about ten feet away from the front door. This insect, was one fourth of an inch long. This insect is alive, and able to fly. The colors of this insect, is different shades of purple, and some areas of white. After taking some photos of this insect, I caught this insect, and then I set it free outside.

Habitat:

Resting on a wall, inside my house.
