Description:

This was my first time seeing the lavender color of this plant. Usually they are a darker purple as seen in the last few photos here. There were a few at this location. There is color variation that occurs in the Kodiak populations of this species. Pure white is very rare, the lavender color shown here is less rare, and the darker purple is very common.

Habitat:

Densely vegetated cape with lots of wildflowers
