In the second pic, is that a stream in the background? I can't see the whole plant very well, but I am inclined at this point to call it "Jewelweed". A hiker's bestest friend! The juice from the succulent stems is a remedy against poison ivy (if you put it on you within about 5-10 minutes of exposure to the ivy) , "stinging nettle" (of which I have plenty of experience!) and, I discovered, (the hard way, of course!) Yellow-jacket stings.
