Description:

Cinnamon brown crust-like fungus. If anyone has any idea for a genus/species, I'd appreciate the input!

Habitat:

Growing on dead wood in a deciduous forest.

Notes:

Hymenochaetaceae is a very large family that has at least 27 genera and 487 species. Many species in this family cause heart rot, canker, and root rot in hardwoods and conifers.
