This has been ID'd as a Male funnel-web weaver, family Agelenidae. Probably a species of Agelenopsis. by Eric R. Eaton

One time I saw a spider with six legs 4 of them huge, two of them tiny. It also had huge fangs but it was small.

It looks a lot like a Hobo Spider, but I don't think they're found in Maine...
