Psychidae sp.
A small bagworm case moth. The 11mm case long is covered in small stones. I've seen larger similar ones, so I assume this is a young larva.
Dry sclerophyl bush.
This one has been climbing up our glass door all day. The photos are all taken through the glass. The last two photos are it climbing.

A fascinating find, and thank you for your warm welcoming to project noah and your help in identifying the caterpillar. :) Unfourtunatly, i can't remember precisely how large the caterpillar was since the photo had been taken weeks before i actually joined. From memory, it was about 9 or 10 cm which matches well with your information. I'll do some further research, but im confident you identified my finding. Thanks again for the help ^o^ (and sorry for the essay responce)
It certainly doesn't move very quickly. Took all of the afternoon for it to move about 30cm (1ft)
I'm amazed it can climb glass with those scratchy little claws. Makes a good photo opportunity though. This species is obviously well into camo.
