Abraded Camouflage Lichen

Melanelixia subaurifera

Description:

Foliose lichen with a bronze/brown thallus that forms a rosette-shape. The surface had indented lobes and was covered with globose isidia, which are more dense towards the center, evolving into soredia.

Habitat:

Spotted on a fence in a rural area.
