Great Blue Herons are very tall and stand 38-54 inches (97-137 cm). In flight, the bird looks enormous, with a six-foot wingspan.

Habitat:

Notes:

While in flight, the wingspan of the Herons can be as wide as 6 feet. They also tend to hold their head close to their body, keeping the neck slightly bent.
