Ganoderma boninense
These are a Polypore Mushrooms that i found in my backyard. These fungus are growing on decayed coconut stump. These fungus are brownish-red in color, and the underside is white. The width of these fungus are about 35 - 50 mm.
- Spotted on decayed coconut stump in my backyard. Usually, it can be found growing on decayed wood.
- These mushrooms are from the Ganodermataceae family. These mushrooms are pathogens of oil palm and coconut.

So, i need your opinion. Do you agree with Ganoderma boninense?
Agree with RandyL on being a Ganoderma spp. Not familar with ones outside the USA though.
Many of the Ganoderma are very similar - but the coloring and the hardwood preference makes me lean towards lucidum as well.
Beautiful ones there, perfect time to harvest for teas/extracts!
I'm actually not sure as to which species would occupy a coconut stump, I assume lucidum.
