Inula

Inula verbascifolia

Description:

I'm lacking an english name for now, have found the croatian one (Bjelušina) thanks to PlantNet application - . This is a small but hardy plant found on rocky places, seems to be growing directly from rock. It sports thick, light-grey and waxy leaves growing dense almost like a ball; and flower shots some 25 to 40 cm tall, producing groups of densely packed yellow flowers of Asteraceae type.

Habitat:

On Dalmatian coast, this plant is often found in rocky places and cliffs, old walls and old buildings - such is here, on a recently renovated walls and its basal rocks of a fortress dominating the town of Šibenik.
