Description:

Young female rattlesnake just over 40 centimeter long

Habitat:

Hogback mountain along the Colorado front range

Notes:

Found basking early morning next to a large rock. Snake was not defensive until I spotted it and prevented its escape. It was measured, weighed, and marked as part of an ongoing project.
