Butterweed

Packera glabella

Description:

An upright plant belonging to the Aster family, 18-20 in. high. Stems may be branched or unbranched, topped by a large, cluster of small yellow, daisy-like flowers. Interesting leaves are deeply-divided in rounded segments or lobes and become smaller toward the upper portion of the plant.

Habitat:

These pretty butterweed flowers were spotted in a fire ring at our campsite in Saint Bernard State Park in Braithwaite, Louisana.

Thanks for comment MariadB. The little butterweed flower is all fallen over this morning at our campsite because of the ice storm we had here.
