Pipit

Anthus sp.

Description:

Small, streaky bird...almost blending into the dry soil.

Habitat:

Ruins of Ayutthaya near Bangkok. These ruins are surrounded by lots of greenery...the grass is watered so the birds have enough to drink and bathe...such a joy to see them in the water. Plus there are waterbodies around. Ayutthaya is also a large town but the birds have undisturbed habitat near the ruins/temples.
