Polyporus durus?
According to GB checklist run by the BMS, P. durus (The Bay Polypore) has been called these names in the past: http://www.fieldmycology.net/GBCHKLST/gb... According to the same source, in the past, P. leptocephalus (Blackfoot Polypore) has been called these names: http://www.fieldmycology.net/GBCHKLST/gb... I think this one is P. durus because I remember it being fairly large whilst P. leptocephalus is usually up to 5cm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyporus_l...
